Here are some sustainable feats we've already been working on:
Many of our products are fully recyclable. The bottles and caps are 100% recyclable and made from previously recycled plastics.

Other OUAIs we’re going greener:
- We use recyclable plastics whenever possible
- We only work with vendors committed to sustainable practices
- We have refill pouches for many of our products!
Why Refill Pouches?
- They use 60% less plastic than rigid bottles
- They require less manufacturing and transport
- They generate less CO2
- They take up less room in landfills
- Plus, they allow everyone who’s OUAI obsessed to refill three bottles per pouch, for the price of two, while doing some good for the earth
Are the refillable pouches recyclable?
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make them fully recyclable. Our caps are, but the pouch had to be made with a type of light plastic that is still OUAI more sustainable than a liter bottle. The plastic these use are 60% less plastic than rigid plastic bottles and requires 50% less energy to produce. These pouches also generate less CO3 emissions during production and shipping. We wish we could have used recycled plastic, but we needed something to protect the formula’s stability and prevent it from being punctured. The good news is, we’re working with our supplier to stay up to date on new developments.
Do you use microbeads in your products?
OUAI does not use microplastics or microbeads in any of our formulations.
